2020 Seed Fund Awards

| 27 Jan 2020

We're excited to announce our Seed Fund recipients for this year.

UNSW Digital Grid Futures Institute seed funding is intended to foster interdisciplinary connection among cross faculty teams with an aim to solve complex problems and deliver social impact. By their nature, seed funds are invested in investigating new concepts and ideas which will help to form ideas worth exploring for further funding and grant opportunities.

Following a month long application period, we received an overwhelming response and awarded 18 awards for research. Also available this year was an opportunity to commercialise established ideas, and help to fund the set up and establishment costs of taking the concept to market.

The Institute is proud to be supporting a wide range of projects which all promise to contribute to a smooth energy transition. Projects range from smart community concepts, converting waste products into energy, investigating how increased electrification can reduce air pollution and associated health problems.
