Glenn Platt is an entrepreneur and leader in the renewable energy and clean technology space, and a prominent figure in Australia’s energy transition. Glenn has spun out several businesses working with solar, batteries and clean technologies, and had a leading role in the most pioneering energy projects across Australia. Glenn is currently Executive Director of Strategy and Innovation at Emergent Group.
Glenn is a graduate of Harvard Business School, holds PhD and electrical engineering degrees from the University of Newcastle Australia, and is an adjunct professor at multiple universities. Prior to joining Emergent Group, Glenn was Research Director at CSIRO, leading efforts on renewable energy, energy storage, energy efficiency and grid operations.
Glenn is a Vincent Fairfax Fellow, and a recipient of the Australian Financial Review Young Executive of the year award.
