Energy Transformers: Powering Up the Future of Education

Meet Energy Transformers, the educational game igniting a passion for sustainable energy practices in school-aged children.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Energy Transformers, an innovative and engaging mobile game aimed at Australian upper primary and lower secondary students (ages 10-13). We invite students, educators, and parents to enjoy this free and engaging educational tool. More than just a game, this app is igniting a passion for learning and a commitment to a sustainable future in students across Australia.

Energy Transformers takes players through 34 Energy Challenges, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving. The challenges are found by exploring the game’s Australian universe, and some need to be unlocked by finding collectables scattered throughout the game.

In these challenges, students make decisions about how individuals and corporations can act to increase ecological sustainability. For example, should supermarkets accept more wonky fruit to help reduce food waste? Can people become smarter shoppers by purchasing recycled and long-term use products rather than investing in fast fashion? With each choice they make, students can see how they have helped reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution, as well as save money!

Whether it's deciding on the type of resources to power the electricity grid or exploring innovative solutions to reduce food waste, Energy Transformers turns learning into an engaging adventure.

By weaving together fun gameplay and education, Energy Transformers equips students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to contribute to a sustainable future. It offers a positive, proactive way to learn about renewable energy and environmental stewardship, driving sustainable change through education.
